On last 29 and 30 September, I had the great pleasure to attend a symposium on competitive and market intelligence held by MarcusEvans.
I am a student of the specialized master on Economic Intelligence and Knowledge Management (Mastère Spécialisé en Intelligence Économique et Management des Connaissances) at SKEMA Business School. I am concomitantly working at LienSNCF (French Railways) where my mission is to support the management staff by providing them with strategic information in the period liberalization of the French market.
They asked me to attend this event both to help me draft my "professional" thesis and give them state of the art knowledge on Competitive Intelligence (CI).
This symposium was well organized and we were presented many case studies from companies such as Statoil, Henkel, Veolia Transdev, Banco do Brasil, Merck, Sanofi, Rolls Royce, during thos two days.. Covered topics included reverse costing, competitor intelligence culture, war games, sponsorship from executive level, web monitoring,.... Great knowledge was shared during the 2nd edition of this symposium and I do recommend to professionnals interested in CI or MI to attend next year!
